December is here!
I can’t believe 2023 has almost come to a close! What a year it has been. I hope you and your family are well and have much to look forward to this next year!
Some Memories to Share!
Most of November was spent back in Port Angeles, WA and Tulsa, OK! We waited the arrival of my life long friend’s 5th baby, and WOW! I was overjoyed to have had the opportunity to witness the birth of her beautiful baby girl! We then made our way to Tulsa, Oklahoma shortly after her birth!
In Tulsa, our family got to witness and experience the USA BMX Grand National races! With over 4,000 riders (and many more spectators), we filmed 2 separate Brecky Breck episodes. And our kids got to race and cheer on friends! It was a blast!
Over the course of those weeks in Tulsa, our family all battled through the 24 hour flu AND we flooded our RV for the first (and hopefully last) time. It was an incredibly stressful, busy, special, and an exhausting couple of weeks.
Thanksgiving was different but so special! While Kylan muscled through his day with the flu, I cooked the entire Thanksgiving meal in our RV while the kids and Kylan lounged on the couch watching the BMX races through the livestream they had playing online. It will be a Thanksgiving we will never forget!
FUN FACT
The two authors of the books I have been reading throughout the tour both live in Tulsa, Oklahoma! Macrae Dowd is my lifelong college friend and Payton Ridenour is an Olympic BMX rider! They attended and read their own books at the story time event we hosted at Gathering Place. It was such an incredible event!
Events Coming Up!
This whole month of December we are taking some time to organize and plan the next tour “Chapters“ to come after the New Year! We will be spending this month at a few RV resorts as it is a great way for us to save money and get some work done in preparation! This will be our first Christmas away from family, but we are excited to create memories and make new friends!
